Xinhua News Agency, China’s official press agency, and the Baltic Exchange have once again collaborated to produce the International Shipping Centre Development Index Report.

The report assesses and ranks the world’s leading maritime centres, based on quantitative data. Once again it places Singapore, with its large port and fast-growing business services sector in first place, closely followed by London with its historical pre-eminence in the provision of shipbroking, finance and legal services.
