Lord Mayor of the City of London visits Baltic Exchange

The newly elected Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Vincent Keaveny and Alderman Alison Gowman, Sheriff of the City of London, visited the Baltic Exchange today (17 Nov).
Alderman Keaveny is the 693rd Lord Mayor and acts as a spokesman for the City, leading overseas business delegations to key international markets on behalf of the UK financial and professional services industry.
Alderman Gowman has represented the Dowgate ward on the City Corporation’s Court of Common Council since 2002.
Baltic Exchange Chairman, Denis Petropoulos highlighted the importance of the City’s maritime sector to the UK economy and thanked the Lord Mayor for his office’s continuing support for the cluster.
During his year as the Lord Mayor, Keaveny is promoting his theme of People with Purpose. This will champion a purpose-led and people-focused UK financial and professional services sector; growing the global competitiveness of the UK as a world leader in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainable finance and home to the best and most diverse global talent, driving social mobility at all levels.
The Baltic Chairman has also donated to the Lord Mayor's Appeal on behalf of the Baltic Exchange.
