Baltic Exchange presented its annual award at the 78th Annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of Marine Artists. Jenny Aitken ARSMA received the award for their piece 'Sundown from Harwich Quay'. The Baltic Exchange Award honours an outstanding piece of work related to the maritime industry, selected by the Society’s President and the Chairman of Baltic Exchange, Lord Jeffrey Mountevans.

Baltic Exchange is an historic membership organisation at the heart of the international shipping industry, providing services relied upon by shipping markets worldwide.

Presenting the award, Lord Jeffrey Mountevans said, "The artwork beautifully captures the sun's descent while symbolizing the 24/7 essence of global shipping. It serves as a poignant reminder that those observing from the quay often remain unaware of the profound reliance their lives have on the ceaseless activities of the international shipping industry and the dedicated professionals who sustain it."
