Baltic members joined The Lloyds Fly-Fishing Society in early October for a full-on day of fishing on the River Test at Marsh Court in Stockbridge.

The annual event saw fishers meet at Marsh Court following a last-minute visit to Robjents, the famous local tackle shop, to enjoy a picturesque day of fishing along the three miles of available river and its carriers, which were smaller man made tributaries, originally developed for irrigation and managed flooding of the local countryside.

The day saw a everyone fully engaged in the fishing and enjoying a lively discussion about the various flies and fishing tactics being employed, before enjoying a three-course lunch, including steaks and a BBQ, cooked by an excellent local chef from The Greyhound. Fishers then took to the water for the afternoon before light began to fade.

A special mention goes to Jolyon Wight from Baltic Exchange who took the prize for the most fish caught, as well as Ed Lillingston-Price of Arrow who won the best fish prize.

Everyone, both beginners and experts alike, had an amazing day and the society is already looking forward to their next day out.
