The Baltic Racket Sports Club hosted its latest padel event on Friday, 15 November in Stratford.

The sold-out event welcomed 40 participants of varying ages and skill levels, alongside supporters who cheered on the action from the bar. For some attendees, the event offered a chance to return to a familiar game, while for others it marked their first foray into the sport.

Round-robin matches kicked off the day, dividing players into four groups. Each game showcased a mix of skills while maintaining a competitive but friendly atmosphere. Group winners Thurlestone and Arrow faced off in the first semi-final, with Arrow narrowly securing victory. Meanwhile, BRS overcame Baltic in the second semi-final, setting the stage for a thrilling final match.

The final was a spectacle of skill and determination, featuring intense rallies and standout plays. BRS ultimately triumphed, taking the set 6-3 to conclude the event on a high note.

The day ended with players and supporters gathering at the bar for networking and drinks, rounding off an unforgettable event.

The Racket Sports Club extended its thanks to MOL, KPI, Fulmar, Pacific Basin, Nexus Shipping, AM Nomikos, Birkett and Windward for their support and participation.

Looking ahead, the club plans to host a table tennis event in early 2025, followed by another padel event in March. Those interested in joining future events or sharing ideas are encouraged to contact Matthew Cannon (MOL).
