Baltic Exchange took time in late June to show its continued support for the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) as colleagues, members and friends gathered for the latest bi-annual lunch at Wax Chandlers Hall in London.

Baltic Exchange supports NCI through the Baltic Exchange Charitable Foundation (BECF), which supports charitable activities related to the sea, including professional training, educational bursaries, and sponsorship of charitable efforts by our members. One of the Baltic's leading commitments is focused on improving maritime safety and education.

During the most recent three-course lunch, which was attended by several members of the Baltic Exchange team and representatives of the NCI leadership team, everyone celebrated and acknowledged the incredible work being done by staff and volunteers at NCI stations around the UK, ensuring that the coasts are safer for everyone.

In October 2023, Baltic Exchange was proud to sponsor one of NCI's newest watch stations, NCI Stone Point in Lepe Country Park. NCI Stone Point, a satellite station of NCI Calshot Tower, provides critical operational watchkeeping in the area, covering the central and western Solent and the Isle of Wight.
