The atmosphere was electric as players arrived, brimming with optimism and excitement.
For some, it was a familiar setting, while for others, it marked their debut in the sport.
We were thrilled to see another packed event with 34 participants of all ages and skill levels along with a few more supporters watching the action from the bar.
The initial rounds featured round-robin matches within four groups, showcasing a range of standards but always maintaining a competitive spirit. Thurlestone & KPI won their respective groups and formed the first semifinal – Thurlestone narrowly emerging ahead. Pairs from Howe Robinson won both of the other group stages setting up fiery semifinal with colleagues turning enemies!
The final match was a spectacle to behold, with both pairs showcasing brilliant rallies and points. However, there could only be one winner and Thurlestone ended the game winning the set 6-1 concluding our padel event.
The day wrapped up with networking and drinks at the bar, providing a perfect end to a fantastic event.
We also thank the Baltic, MOL, Fulmar, Howe Robinson, Arrow, KPI, Nexus Shipping, AM Nomikos, Clarksons and BRS for all fieldning players and helping support the growing club
