Baltic Exchange Awards highlight top achievers at 2024 ICS Ceremony

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) held its latest awards ceremony on 3 October in London, which marked a celebration of maritime excellence. While the event featured a packed agenda with the Maritime Leaders Forum, the Prize Giving Ceremony, and the Annual Dinner, the spotlight shone bright on the prestigious awards that were sponsored by Baltic Exchange that recognised the outstanding academic achievements of candidates in their ICS exams.
This year, the Baltic Exchange Awards honoured three outstanding candidates for their academic achievements in Shipping Law, Shipping Business, and Dry Cargo Chartering. The recipients of the Baltic Exchange Awards at the 2024 ICS Awards are:
Baltic Exchange Award for Shipping Law: Alexandra Mangos (Boston), recognised for achieving the highest marks in Shipping Law.
Baltic Exchange Award for Shipping Business: Nicolai Colis (Kolkata), honoured for his exceptional performance in Shipping Business.
Baltic Exchange Award for Dry Cargo Chartering: Panagiotis Michaleakos (Athens), awarded for gaining the highest marks in the Qualifying Examination for Dry Cargo Chartering.

While the awards for Nicolai Colis and Panagiotis Michaleakos were presented in person, all winners were celebrated for their exemplary contributions to maritime studies and the promising future they represent for the industry.
The ICS Awards Ceremony was accompanied by an evening of celebration. After the Maritime Leaders Forum, an invitation-only event that facilitated discussions about the future of the maritime sector, the evening transitioned into the drinks reception, setting the stage for the Prize Giving Ceremony. Held in the Great Hall at One Moorgate Place, the ceremony honoured the achievements of the Baltic Exchange Award winners and other ICS award winners recognised for their outstanding efforts.
