Baltic Exchange Irish Society Dinner brings members together in London

Members, guests, and friends gathered in March for the Baltic Exchange Irish Society's annual dinner, once again held at the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in London. With a record-breaking 245 attendees, this year’s event was the most well-attended Irish Night yet, bringing the community together for an evening of camaraderie, music, and celebration.

The night began with a warm welcome as members reconnected and new friendships were formed over pints of Guinness, wine, and champagne. Host John Ollett introduced the association’s chairman, Alec Cherry, who delivered an engaging speech before guests enjoyed a fantastic meal.
A key part of the evening was the traditional toasts, with Alec Cherry proposing a toast to the guests, Hon. Secretary Brian Nixon toasting The King, and Master of Ceremonies John Ollett raising a glass to Ireland.
The highlight of the night, as always, was the lively sing-along, led by Ciaran Phillips. The energy and enthusiasm made for a truly memorable evening.
This year’s event was made possible by the dedication of the Irish Society committee, including Vice-Chair Ben Gogarty, Hon. Secretary Brian Nixon, and Isabella Kurek-Smith whose efforts ensured another successful gathering.
As this year's celebrations come to a close, we look forward to welcoming members back in 2026 for another fantastic evening.
